FOX Parody II

For the past two nights on FOX News' Hannity and Colmes, they have been running an exclusive sit down interview with John McCain and Sarah Palin. Of course, it was their cheerleader Sean Hannity who was conducting the interview. For balance, they had Alan Colmes introducing the segments of the interview. On Wednesday, the show came out of the interview for analysis with none other that Republican Newt Gingrich.
The next night, they ran the rest of the Hannity, McCain, Palin ménage à trois and Obama bashing, then went to a ridiculous fun chat with McCain, his wife and SC Senator Lindsey Graham, in McCain's jet, with bad audio, and back to the studio for balance with Mary Matalin, Republican operative.
What part of this was "Fair and Balanced?"
One has to wonder how Alan Colmes can keep coming to work?

FOX Parody Channel

During the Presidential Primary, Saturday Night Live did a parody of a Democratic debate. The premise was that the host ABC anchor Charles Gibson was favoring Senator Hillary Clinton. In the skit, “Gibson” asked “Clinton” to name the new President of Russia. She answered, “Medvedev.” “Gibson” then turned to the comedian playing Senator Barack Obama and said, “Senator Obama, same question.”

That was a parody. On Friday morning last week, FOX News did the same parody. After a week of sequestered briefing to get ready for the Vice Presidential debate, FOX News Channel interviewed Candidate Governor Sarah Palin. Correspondent Carl Cameron talked to her about her recent missteps with CBS anchor Katie Couric. In that previous interview, Palin could not answer what publications she reads for information, nor could she name one Supreme Court case with which she disagreed.

After a week of homework, Cameron asked Palin the same questions. Amazingly, she had answers. She indicated that she had been “frustrated” that Couric had not given her an open microphone, that she had actually asked questions. When Cameron asked the same questions she ticked off answers that appeared to have been recently memorized. Saturday Night Live was a parody of the debates. FOX News Channel is a parody of itself.
